You will lose it anyway, even if you keep renewing you monthly feature package., We have the same plan and just lost $62,00 worth of unused messages that accumulated over the last couple of years. When I complained I got the runaround and then this "final" answer by e-mail:
>>Messaging that is not used is forfeited by the GoPhone Guidelines. These plans
are not set up for the text, minutes, or data to roll over monthly. If you wish
to have a plan that is more comparable to that we can get you set up on a
postpaid plan. I do understand that you're nto happy with the resolution. I've
already issued the $20 credit back to the account. <<
I did not agree to a $20,00 credit as we are out $62,00 but they did it anyway ( why? If minutes and packages not rolled " per at&t guidelines" - I am still waiting for a link to those "guidelines"as requested - they should not feel a need to reimburse me for anything) She also could not explain why our account accumulated over 4500 messages with the $4,99 package if unused messages do not roll over.
This is clearly contrary to at&t's website ( the phone and local rep told me the same):
>>Does money in my GoPhone Pay As You Go account roll over from one refill to the next?
Yes, money will roll over as long as you refill your Pay As You Go account before the expiration date. The new expiration will apply to all money in the account, unless the current expiration date is longer, in which case the current expiration date will continue to apply.<<

BBB will be next for me. $60,00 aren't going to break the bank for us but multiply that by all the go phone customers they have....
