mobile tv

I recently signed up for AT&T mobile TV. I was offered a 7 day free trial and then $9.99/mo after that. When I attempt to watch any programming, I get a notification that says I can watch the video because I am outside the United States and playback is only available in the U.S. I live in Michigan. Any ideas why this would happen? Any solution? I will note that I am using AT&T gophone service. Is it not working because I'm using prepaid service?
Any help would be great.
