Changed my account from pre-paid to post-pay back to pre-paid and lost my credit balance.

I had a credit balance of $20.91 and when I went to an AT&T store to switch my plan back to prepaid, I lost this balance, according to the employee. She did not know how I could get my balance back. I'm not so sure either.
