Thank you. I've been saying all along I'm being charged for data when I have data turned OFF on the phone. The other morning it charged me for data use while I was SLEEPING. Even though data is turned OFF.
I choose consciously to leave the data available to me as an option should I ever actually need to use it someday and because I'm perfectly capable of seeing whether the phone is connected via WiFi or not. The option of turning it off on AT&T's side has been offered by every AT&T employee I've spoken to about this.
I do not believe my phone is functioning properly if it is charging me for using it while I'm asleep. This is VERY simple. However, as I've said over and over again, it's not worth my while to call and discuss this over such miniscule charges. I've called at least 6 times about this issue now. All they ever tell me is, you're using data (when I'm not but I'm certainly being charged for it); let us turn it off for you (no-go, as explained above); and we'll refund your money. That last part is something of a help, I suppose, but not when it takes 45 minutes on the phone to get there!
Something's not working right. How do I get it fixed? If there's no fix, then I go back to my assertion that AT&T does this intentionally because people won't sit on the phone each and every time they're charged 13 cents for nothing.
