stolen phone

I had a phone stolen. My go phone number is [edited for privacy-please do not post personal or unique information such as but not limited to full names, employee ID numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.]
If they had a new number put on the phone, is there any att can shut that phone down and render it unusable?
