Two questions completely unrelated, regarding two separate accounts.
1. If I have a balance with 29.25 dollars currently, and I have the $25 GoPhone plan, and this month's service ends on today's date, tomorrow it will automatically renew and deduct a $25, correct? Meaning that I do not have to initiate any payment?
2. This one is a little more out there. I wanted to unlock a phone that I used with AT&T to use it with a different carrier. I filled out the request form and my request is currently "pending". My reason for doing this is that I wanted to use the phone with TMobile for a plan that would allow me international unlimited texting, as I am traveling out of the country TOMORROW. I did not realize, though, that the request would take possibly days to process.. I cannot switch to TMobile with a locked phone, of course. So. I would like to use this phone, still with AT&T though, and just settle for their per-text int'l charges.
SO, my question is, I know that in the next few days I will be sent an email with instrutions on how exactly to unlock my phone.. ("Your request is subject to AT&T Mobile device unlocking requirements. If we have further questions or instructions, we'll contact you by email.")
Because this indicates that there would be further steps to take in unlocking, is it safe to say that upon receiving that email I will have to opportunity to NOT go through with the process?? I ask because I need to pay my regular monthly $25 for the phone (that is still in service, and not unlocked) before I leave, and don't want to get up to Canada to find that the phone unlock process is occuring... or maybe that wouldn't even affect anything?
